Samsara - Import Trailers

Importing Trailers from Samsara

1. We will begin from our Dashboard and on the left hand side navigate to the section "Fleet + Staff" as shown in the image bellow.

2. From the left hand side list of sections user will select the field "Equipment" and a follow window will open up on the same page.

3. On this page user will navigate to the "Trailer" section of the page and a following window will open up with the list of trailers.

4. On the top right side of the screen we can see two clickable buttons, one for exporting a CSV file with a list of the trailers and another button for importing the list of trailers. 

5. User will click on the left button and will be prompted with a following pop up window view.

6. User can click on the "Import from Samsara Trailers" and if the user already connected his Samsara profile with the Truckin Digital it will prompt a window pop up view with all of his trailers connected with Samsara. 

7. Click the "Next" button and a pop up view window will open up prompting the user to download the Trailer CSV Template first. Then once you have updated the template with your Trailers accordingly then you will Import the CSV file. 

Note: The system will then match the data against Samsara data.

8. Click on the "Upload file" blue text and will be prompted with a selection of documents from his computer files.

9. Next you will select the CSV file that you just downloaded and updated. Then click on the "Upload" button.
After that a screen will open up with the list of the imported trailers, on this screen user can also edit every single detail of the imported trailers such as: Equipment ID, Equipment Type, Make, Model, Manufactured date" etc.

10. Then select the trailers you wish to import by ticking the check box on the left panel and click the "Import Trailer/ Trailers" button and with that we have finished importing the trailers into our Truckin Digital account.
